Too Fit to Fracture – Managing Osteoporosis Through Exercise

What is it?

This booklet, created by Osteoporosis Canada, uses expert consensus guidelines on exercise for people living with osteoporosis. The booklet is designed to educate patients on managing their condition through exercise and provide assistance in developing an exercise program. It includes examples of strength, posture, balance, aerobic, and flexibility exercises and has information on exercising safely and preventing spinal fractures.

Our Thoughts:

This is a great resource for both patient and clinician when creating an exercise program for osteoporosis. However, clinicians may desire a more in depth look at the recommendations, which can be found here.
