What is it?
Recognise is an app that was developed for patients to use as a part of their Graded Motor Imagery (GMI) programs. This app consists of a thorough description of the science behind GMI as well as tests and training activities to help patients work on concepts such as left/right discrimination and laterality. The app also allows for their results to be emailed directly to their therapist to track their progress.
Our Thoughts
This app would be a great tool for therapists to use in the clinic, especially those who treat patients with complex or chronic pain. This interactive tool has personal best challenges and graded difficulty levels to make GMI programs more interesting and allows the patient and therapist to track their progress. Having this tool in app format makes following their GMI programs more convenient, increasing patient compliance.
