This 26 week post-operative protocol from WorkSafe BC provides a guideline for rehabilitation and goals for recovery following an achilles tendon repair.
Our Thoughts:
This protocol not only provides a wide variety of exercise recommendations and progressions but a breakdown for weight bearing tolerance with a cast and/or air-boot. Many exercise recommendations include range of motion, strengthening, proprioception, sport specific drills and a guideline to help determine when it is most appropriate to introduce each of them.
