What is it?
The Leeds Assessment of Neuropathic Symptoms and Signs (LANSS) Pain Score is a 7 question patient questionnaire that is used to identify pain which is primarily neuropathic in origin.

This is a helpful tool that physiotherapists can use when differentiating between peripheral neuropathic, central sensitization, and nociceptive pain presentations. It is easy to administer and can help guide treatment approaches and decisions about when to refer clients to other professionals.
