Electrode Placement and Functional Movement Video Series

What is it?

FES (functional electrical stimulation) is a treatment intervention commonly used in stroke and spinal cord injury rehabilitation. Developed by Dr. Lucinda Baker at USC, this series of 40 videos describes effective electrode placement for FES interventions depending on the desired movement pattern in the upper and lower extremity. How to properly prepare the skin prior to a FES treatment is also discussed.

Our Thoughts:

These short videos are easily accessed online free of charge, making them a great reference tool if FES is an intervention you commonly use in your physiotherapy practice.
