What Is It?
Mindfulness meditation has been shown to be an important tool in reducing anxiety, pain and improving life perspective. It’s helpful to provide patients with a free recording that will be easy to access and enjoyable to listen to.
There are a lot of meditation recordings out there, but some mindfulness meditation recordings are 45 minutes long and often the voice can be irritating. I’ve found this recording by Steven Hickman at UC San Diego to be exceptionally good. It’s based on the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program (To view additional recordings by Steven click here).
